Review by Joey K

She Wants To Dance With Me was Astley's first self penned single released. Astley lucked out in Canada and squeezed past Paula Abdul's fast rising "Straight Up" single to hold on to pole position in Canada for two weeks. Astley performed this song at the 1989 Grammy Awards, and notably changed the lyrics to "Now I know I've been out of touch, and I never meant to wear these clads oh so much" (in reference to his big suit look). He also poked fun at his attire in the video when singing the line "...out of touch".
